Au Mason is Danish design company, where a creativity and a good atmosphere flourish within a young team. They produce their own products within their own Danish factories. They have stayed true to their convictions in the production of interior designs from the very beginning in 1998. The company has since then grown rapidly and is today employing approximately 40 people. A.U Maison aims to contribute positively to a more sustainable global environment. They are constantly working on increasing their range of Responsibility products; which includes initiatives on both environmental and social aspects. The Responsibility Range is where Au Masion co-operates with various different artisans to positively improve environmentally and ethically issues. Furthermore, they are a company who are reprocessing the heat from their machines, reusing paper and reducing waste. They have sereval advanced Cad/Cam systems which assure homogeneous production and competitive power. Using Danish production gives Au Maison greater flexibility and a shorter response time. A.U Maison is cooperating with a BSCI certified supplier (Business Social Compliance Initiative). The co-operative is committed to maintain and improve the working environment and standards for the employees. The 10 criteria set out by BSCI are that freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected, with no discrimination being practised. Child labour is prohibited and the legal minimum or industry standards wages are paid. Working hours must be compliant with national laws, not exceeding 48 hours. There are no forced labour and disciplinary measures within the workplace. The workplace is safe and healthy, with a real respected environment. There is a policy in place for social accountability, as well as anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies.
Au Maison use a variety of different materials within their homeware collection. Cushions are handmade in a range of materials like: Wool, Acrylic, Cotton, Velvet and Linen. The blankets and throws are handwoven from Wool, Acrylic and 100% organic Cotton. We also sell a stunning set of three ornate boxes. These boxes are made from Mango Wood, which becomes a waste product once the tree has finished producting fruit. The boxes come in shades of raspberry, duck egg and lavender.
