Gopalas
Gopalas is based in Jaipur and specialises in traditional embroidery, patchwork and other Indian textiles. Its aim is to provide skills and training to people with no education and promote Indian craftwork around the world.
Most of the embroidery work is made by Gujerati women using recycled saris. Many Gujerati families have migrated to New Delhi after finding it impossible to make a living in their homeland. Continuing the patchwork tradition provides an important supplement to their income.
