Mirror Crafts Indonesia

Mirror Crafts employs 50-75 men and women who work in a small factory in Indonesia. These craftspeople employ the use of traditional techniques such as needlework, stringing, sorting and weaving the natural material. Most of the mirror collection is made from natural materials such as Mendong water hyacinth, and coco stick with the newspaper and magazine mirrors using recycled materials.

All employees are fairly paid and in addition to their wages they receive Feast Day allowance. The company organise family gatherings for socialising and for public service they have built the largest Saint Mary copper statue in the world at 26.5 metres. The company was established in 1982 and in running its business makes an effort to create environmentally friendly products with luxurious designs.
