Carol Ridler

Carol Ridler Hand Crafted Wood is a totally rural enterprise producing wooden pieces for decorations and gifts inspired by the beautiful English country life, tradition and the seasons. The company was founded back in 2006 by Carol Ridler, accompanied by her faithful chocolate labrador, Dougal, who lives and works in an old farming village. Carol lives overlooking the Vale of Belvoir, a low wide valley that runs southwest-northeast along the border between Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, which is her inspiration for her crafts.

Designed exclusively by Carol herself, each piece is individually drawn, cut and finished by hand using locally sourced reclaimed wood. The reclaimed wood is then finally finished in Farrow & Ball coloured paints. Carol's work has received critical acclaim from the UK interior and style press being featured in all major style titles from Country Living to House and Garden as well as Elle Decor.

The company, Hand Crafted Wood, is environmentally and socially aware with a strong commitment to sustainable production. All its products are designed to have low carbon footprints with minimum production
